These days, though, his music sounds more like a hybrid between a Welsh-speaking Alex Turner and the rhythm section from a child’s learn-to-play keyboard. From the few demos he’s shown us, Alun’s sound is a fusion of shuffling beats, electronic samples, acoustic guitar strummage and perfectly executed vocal harmonies that look set to live up to Race Horses reputation as one of Wales’ finest live pop outfits.
