About Alien Mental
AliEn MeNtaL is La, from Chennai (South India); currently living in San Francisco. He started his audial voyage playing in many different bands; metal, punk, jazz, fusion and more since the age of 16. He was pulled into the electronic realm of music in 2000, when he heard some pretty obscure electronic noise music from japan and europe. Completely blown away by the power of synthesizers and computers he started to experiment with electronic music. After moving to San Francisco, he started the trance project "aliEn meNtaL". The project is geared towards pushing the boundries of goa/psy trance and fusing different genres of music together. He will release the Alien Mental album in Insomnia Records and has had numerous releases with other record labels like Mistress of Evil, Manic Dragon, Tantrumm Records, Drop Out and more. He also writes trance music under the name Sonik Scizzor which is a whole new take on the genre and has a side project with Zik called Jibber Jabber ( www.echo-vortex.com )
