Alia Bhatt (born 15 March 1993) is an Indian actress and singer who appears in Bollywood films. The daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan, she made her acting debut with Karan Johar's romantic drama Student of the Year (2012). Bhatt's performance in Imtiaz Ali's road movie Highway (2014) garnered her critical acclaim and a Filmfare Award for Best Actress nomination. Also in 2014, she starred in the romantic drama 2 States and the romantic comedy Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, the success of which established her in Bollywood
