About AlascA
AlascA is a Dutch indie folk band from the town of Volendam, The Netherlands. Band members, as per 2015, are Frank Bond (vocals, guitars), Ferdinand Jonk (guitars, banjo, vocals), Louis van Sinderen (drums, percussion), Maarten Stok (bass) and Paul Bond (keys, vocals). Their sound has been described as country-tinged, but has also drawn comparisons to Crosby, Stills & Nash, Calexico, Midlake and Love. The band's début album, Actors & Liars, was released in February 2012. The follow-up, entitled Prospero, came out in March 2015. Third album, Plea for Peace, followed in 2018, after which the Bond brothers focussed on other projects, rendering the future of AlascA uncertain. www.alascamusic.com
