Al-Thawra is a hardcore/crust/anarcho punk band from Chicago, Illinois. Sometimes described as "taqwacore," the band themselves defines their vision as this: The goal of this project is to create a fusion/hybrid music of Arabic music, Classic Punk, Anarchopunk (Crust, Grind, etc.), and Metal; which can best be described as something along the lines of RAICORE. The music we make will incorporate rhythmical, theoretical, ideological, and structural hybrids of these various types of music...to create something new.
