There is more than one artist with the name AL. 1. AL is a Japanese rock band from Tokyo formed in 2015 by andymori's members and Nagasawa Tomoyuki. Since forming in 2015 AL released two albums 心の中の色紙 (2016) and NOW PLAYING (2018). 2016 the band signed with Revival Records. Vocalist & guitar: Sohei Oyamada (Born June 17, 1984, former member of andymori) Vocals & guitar: Tomoyuki Nagasawa (Born May 15, 1984) Bass: Hiroshi Fujiwara (Born October 9th, 1984, former member of andymori) Drums: Hiroki Goto (Born August 19, 1986, former member of andymori) History: 2015 As a private project, close friend Sohei Oyamada and singer-songwriter Tomoyuki Nagasawa have been working together on and off for several years, producing music and holding a few live shows. With the live performance of AL as a band at Shindaita FEVER on July 30th, the four of them officially began performing as a band, adding original andymori members Hiroshi Fujiwara and Daiki Goto. Goto had quit drumming after leaving andymori, but was invited to join when he reunited with Oyamada. 2016 On April 13, 2016, they released their debut album, " Kokoro no Naka no Shikishi ." It was originally scheduled for release on March 23, 2016, but the release date was changed. It debuted at number 10 on Oricon 's daily chart (number 11 on the weekly chart). The following week, it reached number 1 on Oricon's indie weekly chart (dated April 25). With their first album in hand, AL's first solo live show, AL 1st Tour 2016, began on April 18th, and was performed in Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Tokyo. In addition to selling original merchandise, a postcard of the original album artwork was included as a bonus with the purchase of their first album. 2017 On June 21st, they performed a two-man live show with Takahiro Taniguchi at Shibuya BYG. It was AL's first live show in about a year. Shibuya BYG has a capacity of about 100 people, and they were selected on a first-come, first-served basis from those who applied for a show. On November 27th and 30th, they held live shows titled AL LIVE 2017 at Osaka BIGCAT in Osaka and Ebisu Liquid Room in Tokyo . On December 31st, Sparkling Records , the label run by Oyamada , will hold a countdown event titled Sparkling COUNT DOWN 2017-2018, and AL has also been confirmed to appear. 2018 On January 17th, they released their second album, " NOW PLAYING ." With this album, they held their second solo live concert, "AL 2nd Tour 2018." Starting on March 2nd, they toured Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Aichi, Kagawa, Tokyo, Miyagi, and Osaka. On April 5th, Yutaro Furudate 's birthday, he appeared at the release event for his band "2"'s second album. A two-man live show titled "SONG FOR YOU" was held at Shibuya WWWX .
