About Ad Visser

Ad Visser is a multimedia performer and singer-songwriter from the Netherlands. He sings, and plays mostly synthesizer and guitar. He is, however, most famous for hosting the Dutch pop programme 'Toppop' from it's start in 1970 until 1985. Toppop went on having various other hosts but ended in 1988. His best known musical projects are the Brainsessions (he states the music directly influences the brain activity) and the Kamasutra Experience. But his discography also includes other multimedia projects under different names, such as The Soundcage and the Amsterdam Computer Ensemble. Ad Visser entered the public domain as member of the avant-garde pop group Blurp in 1965. By 2003, he released the album "Heftige verhalen uit een overspannen maatschappij" critisising the current state of the society.
