About Actitud María Marta

Malena D'Alessio and Alicia Dal Monte were the core of this rap band, that was selected as Revelation 1995 by the "Si!" journal released by the Clarín daily newspaper. Their music have also elements of tango, rock, payada, reggae, raggamuffin and other southamerican rythms. Their discographic debut was a recopilation album named "Alta tensión" featuring tracks like "A mí me rebota y a vos te explota", "Confusión" and "Hijo de desaparecido". At the time, Actitud María Marta was conformed by Marcelo Baraj (drums), Jorge Di Pascual (guitar), Lautaro Guida (bass) and Gustavo Kersenabum (guitar). They had a very active participation in almost every music festival organized by human rights asociations and other musical events. In Octuber '97, they participate in collaboration with León Gieco, Divididos, Las Pelotas, La Renga, Los Piojos, Todos Tus Muertos, A.N.I.M.A.L., [artist/]Attaque 77, and others in a tribute concert for the 20 years of Madres de Plaza de Mayo. After many years, in 2003, Malena restore the band with new members, joining Karen Pastrana and Karen Fleitas.
