About Accendo
Accendo is an American DJ / Producer currently residing in Portland, Oregon. The artist’s primary medium of expression is electronic dance music. He was first introduced to this style of music, in 2000, after hearing a recording of Paul Van Dyk’s live set at the Mayday Festival in Germany. Intrigued with the foreign melodic sounds emanating from Europe, Accendo started collecting tracks and compilations from additional artists. Upon moving to England in 2007, the proximity to the nightclub scene coupled with meeting new friends from around the globe, Accendo was inspired to purchase a mixer and he began to play live at an assortment of functions in the Birmingham area. In June of 2009, he adopted the stage name Accendo which is Latin for “to kindle and illuminate”. This DJ alias corresponds with Accendo’s interest in sharing his favourite music with others. Motivated to give something back to the dance community that he loves, Accendo in 2010 started to produce his own tracks. His first release, Regulus E.P, was later signed in the spring of that same year by Infrasonic Recordings. Today, Accendo remains focused on continually improving the development of his mixes and tracks.
