About ANCHORMEN
Starting in 1979, The Anchormen were known for launching the careers of Terry Carter, Biney English, David Sutton, Jeff Chapman, David Hill, Dale Forbes, Brian Routh, Steve Ladd & others in the Southern Gospel industry. While mostly a local, regional group, they gained prominence in the mid 90’s with the lineup of Brian Routh, Dale Forbes, Terry Carter, Jeff Chapman, Joey Gore, Danny Johnson & Tim Bullins. Though they had some success afterward, that was the lineup that put them on the map. Terry & Brian have also sung together in Adoration Quartet and now Port City Quartet. There is also another Gospel group using The Anchormen name called The Anchor Men Quartet out of Michigan.
