About Die 3 Travellers

Die 3 Travellers were a German group of the 1940s and 1950s, composed of the three musicians Fred Oldörp (Bandoneón), Eddie Rothe (Guitar) und Mischa Andrejew (Double bass). They met 1946 in Berlin's broadcasting center, when the RBT-Orchestra was looking for a bandoneón player for a tango recording. Fred Oldörp was the only available back then in Berlin. The three befriended and had the idea to form „Die 3 Travellers“. They played various popular songs and created a new sound with their unique combination of their three instruments. Some of their biggest successes were „Cement-Mixer“, „Hallo, kleines Fräulein“ („Gisela“).
