About Fastball

Fastball is an American power pop / rock n roll band that formed in Austin, Texas in the 1990s. The band originally called themselves "Magneto U.S.A" but changed their name after signing with Hollywood Records. They released their first album, Make Your Mama Proud, in 1996. Fastball consists of Miles Zuniga (lead guitar and vocals), Tony Scalzo (bass and vocals), and Joey Shuffield (drums). They released one breakout hit single, "The Way", in 1998. Other songs receiving significant radio airplay included "Out Of My Head", "You're An Ocean", and "Fire Escape". "The Way" ended up peaking at number-one on the U.S. Billboard Modern Rock Tracks, bringing the group into a mainstream audience. The group's fifth full length album, Little White Lies, was released in Spring 2009. Their most current album as of spring 2013, it is distributed by MRI/RED Distribution. The group continues to tour to a loyal cult following.
