They officially began activities two weeks later with a lineup of vocalist Tenten, guitarists SAN and milk, bassist Ivy, and drummer higiri. From the start, LACK-CO. moved quickly, releasing their first recordings in autumn 2016 and staging a limited debut oneman live titled Chakusui no Tame no Junbiundou at Sugamo CCO, setting the tone for a career defined by constant movement between releases and live shows. Through 2016 and 2017 the band built a dense discography that mixed sharp rock instincts with eccentric titles and imagery, including releases such as Ayashii Meganeya-san, Mushiiri CHOCOLATE, Dobunezumi Sanka, and Jakuniku Kyoushoku. Alongside frequent appearances on omnibus CDs, LACK-CO. held both sponsored events and their first oneman tour, Hajimete no Chakusui, establishing a steady presence on the live circuit. In July 2018 bassist Ivy left the band, after which LACK-CO. continued as a four-piece. The later period saw a run of digital and physical releases including MAGURO, emergency, Tsuru no Ongaeshi, Setsudan, and Tsumara nu Rock BAND ni Jinsei Sasagenai de, paired with regular live performances around Tokyo and beyond. On May 30, 2019, following a show at Takadanobaba CLUB PHASE, LACK-CO. announced an indefinite hiatus. Despite their relatively short activity span, the band left behind a tightly packed body of work and a reputation for relentless output and idiosyncratic character.
