Shortly after forming, the band released the songs Shita and Ue and held its first secret live on September 23, 2014, at Tokyo Higashi-Koenji Niman Denatsu. Their first official live followed on October 18 at Ikebukuro EDGE, where they also introduced the song Kane ga Nattara Jiken ga Okiru, a title that would become closely associated with the band throughout its career. BELLE quickly established a nostalgic “Heisei kayou” inspired sound that blended visual kei aesthetics with sentimental Japanese pop melodies. Throughout 2015 and 2016, the group released works including Non Fiction, Gozen Sanji no Kanjousen, VIDRO, Kayou SUSPENSE Gekijou, Manatsu no BALLAD, and REFRAIN. The band also became known for themed one-man concerts and recurring anniversary events such as bassist Akiya’s annual HAPPY BOY birthday lives, held at venues including Shibuya REX and Takadanobaba AREA. In August 2016, BELLE held the two-part one-man performance Natsu no Owari no Kane ga Naru. at Takadanobaba AREA, accompanied by acoustic versions of Ame to Muchi and Shuumatsu LATE SHOW. Their activities expanded further in 2017 and 2018 with releases such as Jealousy, Aishuu Elegy, Bokutachi wa Massugu ni Igandeyuku, Nishinka Jusshinhou, JUKE BOX, and Natsukaze. During this period, BELLE embarked on nationwide tours including JACK POT and the 4th anniversary tour BELLE THE HIT PARADE, culminating at Tokyo KINEMA Club. The band underwent major lineup changes in 2019. Guitarist Yumehito departed following the one-man live Kane no Oto ga Yoku Kikoeru to Ame ni Naru at Ikebukuro EDGE in June. Later that year, guitarist RUMINA joined the group, and BELLE celebrated its fifth anniversary with the concert Ishin Kaika no Yoake Mae at Tokyo KINEMA Club. In 2020, guitarist TAIZO was added to the lineup, expanding the band into a five-member formation. During the early 2020s, BELLE continued releasing music and touring steadily despite the changing live music environment. Works from this era included Kaitai Shinshou, Suna no Shiro, Otome Rettou Koushinkyoku, Kokon Wagakashuu, Kakusei Kekki STRIKE, Shinyaku Kane ga Nattara Jiken ga Okiru, Sayonara MOVIE STAR, Nishinka Jusshinhou 2, Sekai no Yakusoku, Shuusoku suru Heikousekai, and Aishuu ROMANTICA. The band maintained a strong connection with live venues such as Ikebukuro EDGE, Takadanobaba CLUB PHASE, and Asakusa Hanagekijou. In August 2023, BELLE began its final one-man tour, Zanshou no EPILOGUE, starting in Fukuoka before concluding a series of farewell performances later that year. On October 18, 2023, the band held its 9th anniversary one-man live Kane ga Nattara Jiken ga Okiru at Ikebukuro EDGE. BELLE officially disbanded on October 29, 2023, following its final concert at Shibuya WWW X. An acoustic version of Gozen Sanji no Kanjousen was released in February 2024 after the group’s disbandment, serving as one of the band’s final issued recordings. They were part of the art kei and Showa kayou kei subgenres. Guitarist TAIZO and vocalist Haro continued their activities together in 夜光蟲 (Yakouchu) together with Johannes (drums, ex. Develop One's Faculties).
