About Kombi
There are two bands that share the name Kombi: 1) Kombi was a Polish synth pop band formed in 1976 in Gdańsk by Sławomir Łosowski, Grzegorz Skawiński, Waldemar Tkaczyk and Jan Pluta. It was one of the most sucessful Polish groups and has achieved a moderate success in Europe and the USA. The band dissolved in 1992 after an internal conflict. In 2003 the original members of Kombi regrouped without Łosowski under name Kombii. 2) Kombi is a solo project of musician and producerJoão Kombi. Active in Brazil’s independent scene since the 1990s. Alongside his work with the band Test with over 1,000 shows across 28 countries. João leads his solo project, focused on creating immersive sonic landscapes through drones, processed guitar, noise, and synthesizers.
