About ROSSO

ROSSO was a Japanese rock band formed in 2001 by Chiba Yusuke, Terui Toshiyuki and MASATO. They started recording their first album, BIRD, in February 2002. The album was released in April of the same year, and after touring the country to support it, ROSSO went on a break. Chiba Yusuke went back to focus on thee michelle gun elephant, but when this band broke up in 2003, ROSSO was reformed with a revised lineup. Drums were now played by Sato Minoru, and Imai Akinobu joined on guitar. This second lineup recorded the album DIRTY KARAT, as well as several singles and an EP before disbanding during the summer of 2006. Musically, ROSSO can be said to have picked up where TMGE left off, carrying on TMGE’s sound in their final single & album; Electric Circus & SABRINA NO HEAVEN. After ROSSO’s disbandment, Chiba and Imai went on to record a mostly instrumental album as MIDNIGHT BANKROBBERS, and later formed The Birthday. Members: Chiba Yusuke (チバユウスケ) – Vocal, guitar Imai Akinobu (イマイアキノブ) – Guitar, second lineup Terui Toshiyuki (照井利幸) – Bass MASATO – Drums, first lineup Sato Minoru (佐藤稔) – Drums, second lineup Official Webpages: http://www.rockin-blues.com/ http://www.universal-music.co.jp/r-and-r/rosso/
