About Me and My Arrow

Me And My Arrow formed in 2007 as a collective made up of producers and musicians from the Minneapolis / St. Paul area, all of whom currently, or previously hail from other know Minneapolis bands such as It From Bit, Parts For All Makes, The Future, and Plastic Chord to name a few. In their short period as a band, they've shared the stage with national acts such as The Appleseed Cast, Film School, The Mae Shi, Jupiter One, Sera Cahoone (Sub Pop) and many more. The nine piece got their name from the animated cult favorite, The Point, a movie in which a young, round headed boy named Oblio is born into an unusual kingdom in which everything and everybody is pointed. In November of 2008, members of Me and My Arrow recorded with Ben Bridwell (Band of Horses) on a cover of George Harrison's "Your Love Is Forever." The track can be found on the Starbuck's compilation "Sweetheart." Me and My Arrow strikes a finely tuned balance of dynamic energy and dreamy pop melodies. They have a high-powered sound that stands out in songs like Revolver and Oblio, while at the same time they manage to bring forward a symphonic organization of instrumentation in the epic track s.m.t.r.m.
