History The band was joined by Czech drummer Milan Milata and singer David Gore , a native American from Lafayette, Louisiana in the Czech Republic. The two of them had known each other for a while, but the art sparkle did not change them until 2002, when David with the words "Listen to this, man!" released Milan's recording of his song. At this point, Milan - an old harvester from various blues-rock bands - knew that this collaboration would be fruitful. Drummer and bandleader Milan puts together the first line-up composed of musicians with whom he has worked in other projects in the past. There comes bassist Leoš Koudelka and guitarist Michal Beneš , who together with David Gore becomes the main author of the band's repertoire. Milan also invited singer Veronika Mohaplová (later Milatová ) to become his sister-in-law in the future. In 2005, another singer Hana Vaníková comes, but she is soon replaced by Vlaďka Svobodová. Since then, the vocalist is always occupied by two female singers. Most of the personnel changes have been requested by a guitarist, where 5 musicians have changed since the band was founded. The situation did not stabilize until 2007, when guitarist Martin Endl joined the group and remained to this day. In 2006, The Cell is making its first CD, "Are You Ready?" , Which has received positive ratings especially on music servers and in blues and southern rock magazines. For example, the song " Blues Never Stops " has been in the Top 20 of the All Southern Rock chart for several weeks. This album captures the group almost in its original lineup. In the fall of 2009, the founding member, singer David Gore , leaves the band. This is due to various disagreements in the continuation of the band and its relocation to the north, which complicates commuting. So both sides agreed, after a deliberate restraint, that David and The Cell would go their own way. David Kangas , a native of Boston, has recently replaced David with a new singer, the saxophone. However, he remains in the group only until mid-2010, when the current frontman, Michal Cerman , a native of Prague's Vinohrady, and a professional singer from several Czech bands, who also participates in the Czech version of the famous musical "Jesus Christ Superstar" . In 2004 - 2010, the band also featured keyboardist Tomáš Homuta , who enriched it with piano sound, Hammond keys and harmonica. After his departure, the band plays only in guitar composition. Early in 2011, The Cell is returning to the studio to come up with a novelty album, "Keepin 'On, Rollin' Hard . " The CD captures the band in its current form and with a host of guests. So other instruments such as steel guitar, banjo, mandolin, or brass section sound on the board. In January 2012 the singers Veronika Milatová and Vlaďka Svobodová leave the band. After a short audition, the new warriors Radka Vojáčková and Martina Dolečková join . Concerts The Cell has been relentlessly performing throughout the Czech Republic and neighboring countries such as Germany and Poland over the 10 years of its existence. They also occasionally visit Italy, Spain, or the Netherlands. In 2009, the band embarked on their first overseas trip to tour 6 club concerts in Louisiana, USA. The Cell also regularly performs as a lead for their more famous colleagues. The band opened concerts to performers such as: John Mayall ZZ Top The Sweet Tito & Tarantula Shemekia Copeland Smokie . Over the years, the band has toured several times in the Czech Republic, including several concerts in prisons, where they played convicts following the example of Johnny Cash or BBKing. He also participates in many festivals and club performances in the Czech Republic, Poland, Holland, Germany and Spain. Website: The Cell
