About spookyghostboy

Spookyghostboy is an independent music project created by Austin Thomas in July of 2012. The solo project was created by Thomas as a lo-fi bedroom recording experiment and has since progressed into a more developed nature. The first EP from Spookyghostboy, "The Forest Summer EP", was released on July 21st, 2012. Critical reception was largely positive, with one such reviewer calling the newly-minted "ghost-pop" genre "really, really cool." Following the both commercial and critical success of "Forest Summer", Thomas released a new EP in October of 2012. "XVII", a noticeably darker and more cohesive release, saw Thomas exploring the inherent melancholy of the fall and winter seasons. This, along with up-tempo single "rad cats", made "XVII" a much more successful release from Spookyghostboy.
