A teenage trio formed in 2019, in the suburbs of a foreign region, Lisbon, Reduce is a band that brings out the angst-grunge rock throughout the underground of Portugal. The band is composed of bass player Miguel Carrera, frontman Pedro Lourence and drummer André Barbagallo. To date, counting off bootleg releases from 2019, Reduce has released three singles: Pointing My Head, a fusion between down tuned grunge rock and nu metal; and Steer, a much more traditional hard rocking song. On April 16th, Reduce released Head Eye Am (Dead), an unconventional grunge rock song, along with a music video. With sludge metal influences such as the Melvins, underground alt rock groups such as Kim Normal and The Violet Stones, as well as local bands such as Stone Dead, Reduce emerges through out the rock scene without the bloom of the spring: it’s infectious and very loud.
