About picklish
picklish is a creature hailing from Thornhill, a small village in Central Scotland. He draws influence from the many strands of electronic music, notably breakbeat and techno, and more recently dubstep and drum and bass. Influences from the world of electronica include Vitalic, Burial, The Chemical Brothers and Aphex Twin. He also looks to classical music, rock, hip hop and latino music as a source of inspiration, citing his favourite artists outwith electronic music as being Beethoven, Jimi Hendrix, Roots Manuva and Manu Chao. His vocal and other instrumental samples are mostly gleaned from his friends and family, known collectively as 'The Thornhill Crew'. In 2008 he has remixed two artist's. 'A Girl and a Gun' and 'Albaross' respectively.
