Melancholiaah! (Also known as Marius in the group See.ker) is a 25-year-old solo artist/kaigai idol whose music comprises J-pop, J-rock, and more. Marius was born on April 14 in Texas of the United States. He briefly joined a group in 2014 named SHEawase and was assigned the color green. He originally did not like it but grew fond of it and kept the color as he transferred over to the group See.ker. Marius first gained internet personality around age 10 when he uploaded a video pretending to be a famous Japanese character, Hatsune Miku. Marius however was faced with negativity as he continued to grow online. Despite the hostile attention he continued to upload and perform for the fans that genuinely supported his work. Marius soon went on a break to focus on himself, a little while after this a close friend of his (Akira Complex, also known as Charlie) had asked for vocals for an album, as Marius provided the vocals he realized he needed a name to be credited on the album. This is when Melancholiaah! was created. Melancholiaah! was a project to reclaim the love of performance Marius once had, he notes the project as a "revenge project" in an interview. He also notes Melancholiaah! to represent the "disgust he once saw in the world as a 10 year old girl." Marius considers himself to have many different hobbies such as makeup, animation, music production, film, and more, he tries to combine all of these things together in the work he creates. He is noted to have many stories and subjects in his music such as childhood trauma and his song "Last paradise" representing his coming out as a transgender man in 2020. He creates music with these subjects ultimately for himself but also for others in hopes someone will relate to his work and feel less alone. Marius performs at multiple conventions in Texas however you can also find his work online such as on Spotify, Bandcamp, his official website, and more. Extra information: Marius is also known for his "Toad Sings" series on youtube, he has noted he cannot due this series anymore due to his voice dropping in his transition as a trans man. Marius is the leader of the group See.ker which is set to debut on June 3rd 2023. His work can be heard in Dance Dance Revolution A20 and KONAMI's arcade release of beatmania IIDX 25 CANNON BALLERS.
