About jacob de berker
Born in the south west of England in 1984, Jacob de Berker has been playing guitar since the age of sixteen, and writing songs from the moment he learnt his first three chords. Direct influences are elliott smith, nick drake, bob dylan, sufjan stevens to name a few but to describe his music tastes as eclectic is an understatement and although not obvious inspiration is taken from everything from classical to heavy metal via breakbeat, electronica and hip hop. The songs are as honest as is possible and are inspired by a happy childhood, love, loss and a confusion at the the regard that the modern world holds for each other.
