About illStruck

Rock and Roll will never die; however it seems to take a sabbatical every now and again. After enduring the onslaught of the rap / rock revolution, customary Rock and Roll sounds have returned with a real bang. illStruck is a South Florida based band that is continuing that "never say die" attitude. While many musical influences penetrate their arrangements, their songs convey a modern flair and stylistic groove that gives them their own niche in today's "Music Scene". It all started in late 2006 when KAiNiN PAMBLANCO, after suffering many downfalls in his life, decided to put together a band that reflects his history. Over the years, the band went through many different revolving musicians while trying to find the perfect fit with the right musical talent, image, and stage presence. Six years later, Kainin found the missing pieces of the puzzle and illStruck was completed. The band relies on each member's musical passion and talent to succeed. The inceptive force behind illStruck's music is bassist, KAiNiN PAMBLANCO. The next additions to the band were MiCHAEL MARCiANTE and JORDAN MAYER whose aggressive guitar rhythms and unmistakable style could not be overlooked. Harboring the same dreams as the rest of the members, RYAN KAKAS distinctive style of drumming quickly became a natural fit. Finally the songs are completed by a combination of CHRiS CAPASSO's well-crafted lyrical melodies and vocal delivery. illStruck's passion for what it does is evident in the music. With inspiration from a variety of genres including Hard Rock, Classic Rock, Progressive Rock, Metal, Alternative Metal, Funk, Jazz, Hip Hop, Rap, etc… and sounds similar to Godsmack, Disturbed and Staind, the group blends together its own unique sound. The band's self-titled EP is a collaboration of songs that deliver powerful musical arrangements and lyrics that take a sarcastic look at life. The songs were deliberately kept around 3 to 4 minutes for a very good reason; "never bore your audience and always leave them with memorable hooks” says bassist, KAiNiN PAMBLANCO. “illStruck plays the victim better than anyone else, not just in lyrics and melodies but punishing guitar riffs and abusive drum beats, delivering a five song EP with as much distraught emotion as Eddie Vedder could shake a stick at.” ~ John Spano, 93 ROCK (93.1 FM). The group is very excited about the up-and-coming year and has plans to heavily promote their debut EP throughout South Florida and beyond. With an aggressive campaign lined up, the band plans to perform well over 200 shows in the coming months. The illStruck extravaganza has begun and will be heading your way soon.
