Born from members of bands such as, Shotgun Wedding, Ten2Go, Agony, DNY, The Furor, Cunt Scrape and Dnomder Yracaz and the Genital Warts, Fill the Skies With Steel brought people together from all different sounds. Collectively they decided everything needed to be slowed down....... Fill The Skies With Steel formed in early 2009, with the simple idea to create dark brooding music with only a Bass player, Drummer and vocals. Though as they have progressed Organs, Theremin, computer and analog noise machines have been creeping into their sound. Their first album "An Empire Beyond The Sea" was only released on 12" vinyl and had a single song per side. "Part One The Ebb and The Flow" and "Part Two The Failure of Human Instinct". This album was produced with little more than Bass, Drums and Vocals. It was their second full length album "Winters Son" that saw the sound progress to include the Theremin, Organ and triggered Noise and Samples. At this stage F.T.S.W.S are currently working on their next release. On the tenth of May, 2010, F.T.S.W.S. along with four other noise and progressive acts were part of an experiment held by Perthectionist Records. At the close of the night all five artists had played their own brand of experimental music- Doom Drone, Noise, Free Jazz- and all had been cut to vinyl whilst playing culminating in five completely improvised, completely live sets of one of a kind vinyl.
