About eric smith-gunn

Eric Smith-Gunn was born in Santa Monica, California at Santa Monica Hospital. His father, the late John Smith, worked as Tool and Worker for Hughes Aircraft and his mother, the late Helen Dudley, a devout Catholic, worked as a Cafeteria Worker for St. Johns Hospital for over twenty years. He has one older sister, Angela Rios, and was raised primarily by his single mother. He fell into acting quite a few years ago, when a friend, a girlfriend, dared him to submit a picture to a production company that was casting its first commercial for Levi's 501 Jeans. He booked it and it made a 6 month run on MTV and other networks. He continued to act in various independent projects and worked in a lot of theater projects including the first stage production of Jack Wild's famous book called "Call of the Wild". He has also worked with renowned director, Scott Derrickson, of "The Day the World Stood Still" fame. In 2009, He formed the production company, Enfuego Entertainment, with his wife Pam Meisl Smith, to start producing and directing material written for himself to act in. So far, Eric Smith-Gunn has not yet appeared in any of his films. His first project was the award-winning non-dialogue short titled "ForePlay The Short. Which was a official selection in the New York Short Film Festival of 2010. The film starred Kevin Ryan and Roxanne Dover as two strangers who meet in a park and decide to have amorous connection with one another. The music was supervised by critically acclaimed singer-songwriter and author, Jeannette Kantzalis. Then Eric Smith-Gunn decided to try the music video platform by directing another award winning video by singer-songwriter Niko Escudero (now known as Nik Pilgrim) titled SleepWalking. This cute little ditty of a tune was the Bronze award winner at JamFest in Louisiana in 2011. Now with his second film, a short titled Corre (Run),. Eric Smith-Gunn writes a psychological script that deals with the dark side of decision making and the sometimes tragic results that follow. The film stars Darren Anthony Thomas in the title role as Lane Wilcox.
