About elfish
Elfish are a swiss band comprised of Nora Pfister (Vox), Caro Pfister (Piano, Vox), Andi Walter (Guitar), Nick Hodler (Bass) and David Muller (Drums). In 2002 the band members started their first music project, Malatentation which folded quickly when Nora went to Australia for 6 months. On her return the band picked up the pieces of Malatention and renamed themselves Elfish. Soon they were putting on concerts starting in Juka in Mannedorf. They won best Newcomer at the Emergenza festival with Nora taking the Best Singer honors. The band has since gone from strength to strength, but won't let anything distract them from touring and playing live gigs. Generally the band is fairly reclusive, spurning the bright lights of the big city (Zurich) and living out near the lake. According to Caro, the pace is too fast in Zurich. The band is heavily influenced by the sisters' experiences in Ireland and France and this is reflected in their music. Nora and Andi are the creative minds but every band member is encouraged to bring input to the creative process. The resulting songs are collaborations in every sense of the word. After a creative break in Winter 2008 they returned to the stage in May of the same year with new songs and new inspirations.
