About Colonia
Colonia was founded in 1996 by Boris Đurđević and Tomislav Jelić, two DJs from Vinkovci, Croatia. They invited Indira "Ira" Levak to become their vocalist. The name of the group comes from the ancient Latin name of the Croatian town Vinkovci which was "Colonia Aurelia Cibalae". Colonia quickly became one of the most popular dance groups in Croatia and its popularity later grew in other areas of former Yugoslavia, as well as worldwide. Tomislav Jelić left the group in 2014. Indira Levak left the group in 2017. The same year, Ivana Lovrić became the new vocalist of Colonia.
