About alkama
Born in the very middle of 1979 in the south of France, Mathieu M. (aka Alkama) was taught "academic" music in his early childhood (piano, sax and harmony). He grew up under the influence of an old electro band called "Space Art" which "Onyx" LP brought him heavy anguish crisis and evil nightmares. He couldn't help listening to this album, even if he knew the following nights would be painfull. This album introduced him to electronic music (and led him to computer science). Alkama soon was triturating an Amiga500, coding some computergraphics in assembler and tracking with protracker, which made him join the Demoscene. Alkama is currently member of the Calodox of switzerland and Tpolm of finland crews. Later in his teenage, he could play with some homestudio gears and discover the joys of midi with cubase on an atari, while spending his whole summers in "rock & electronic music oriented" holiday camps. In 1998 he finally met "Mo" (aka "Olivier M." from The Youngsters, Rodriguez Jr ), his very best friend, with whom he coproduced a bunch of tracks under the name Alkama & Mo. Nowadays, Alkama is working and living in Paris. He's still unsigned but keeps on producing music, even if it's all solo projects or remixes.
