About Ziga Rustja
Žiga Rustja is a Slovenian musician from Piran, radio host and producer, as well as a sports journalist. He began his musical career at an early age, in 1998 he sang the song Bit by the Primorska group Zmelkoow in the children's choir. A year later he performed at the children's festival Črtica with the song Življenje je igra, and then regularly participated in the FeNS festival, an international music festival for young people. He began writing his first original lyrics as part of the group Noom8, which after a short creative break began operating as Kontinoom. In 2014, he also began a solo career and released his first song, Zaprem oči, which is also the first song from the album Z moje perspektiv, produced by Jan Baruca and Andrea F. In 2018, he released a second album, Čas (also under the auspices of Dallas Records), which also includes the song Pozabi na vse, a competition song at the Poprock 2017 festival. In 2024, the single Everyone loves (me) was released under the auspices of the Italian label LaPOP. In 2015, he performed at Melodije morja in sonca with the song Ne sodim sem, and in 2021 at Slovenska popevka with the song Ko padeš. He has performed as a backing vocalist several times at Melodije morja in sonca and at Ema. In 2014, he became the radio host, first the morning, then the afternoon, and later the morning voice of Radio Capris, and since 2023 he has also been the producer of the morning program. He works as a co-founder at Studio 106, a creative music studio where new musical hopes are being nurtured.
