About Zakon Velesa
" Zakon Velesa " ... was formed back in 2009 as folk pagan - black metal project of two friends who share same taste in music and ideology - beliefs. During that period there was only one song roughly recorded due to our other obligations. Songs for our first demo are written (music and lyrics) and soon enough will finally be released after recording session that is ongoing. All lyrics are (and will be) written on our native language, as we draw inspiration from Slavic mythology and culture. Band name could be translated as Law of Veles. Veles (also known as Volos) is major Slavic god of earth, waters and the underworld, associated with dragons, magic, wealth and trickery. He is also the opponent of thunder-god Perun and the battle between two of them constitutes one of the most important myths of Slavic mythology. It should be noted that the band name was inspired by the release of serbian black metal band The Stone. Zakon Velesa je osvrt na tradicionalne kulturne vrijednosti nasih predaka i odgovor na tiraniju judeo - krscanstva koja je slavenske narode dovela na rub propasti.
