About Yup Yup
There are at least two artists named Yup Yup -YUP YUP (Japan): A Japanese idol act that debuted in May 2021. Their music is inspired by underground hip-hop and city pop. The unit originally had four members (Karasumaru Rin, Ninomiya Rina, Hasemura Reina and Feww). Feww is a former member of Koutei Camera Girl Zwei (校庭カメラガールツヴァイ and Koutei Camera Girl Drei (校庭カメラガールドライ) under the stage name, "Warwar toome". Karasumaru and Ninomiya left YUP YUP early on, and the group continued as a duo between Hasemura and Reina. Hasemura left YUP YUP just before the release of their debut album, and Feww is currently the only member. Yup Yup USA: Morris Lomax aka Yup Yup was born in Washington DC on December 23, 1988. By the age of four Morris Lomax’s father, Marlon Robinson was murdered but his mother stood strong and worked several jobs to support Yup Yup and his siblings. Lomax attended John Tyler Elementary School and later Hine Jr. High but was unable to attend regularly due to being incarcerated. While that was very unfortunate for him, he didn’t let incarceration become an excuse for the reason his education was postpone. Instead he pushed through and continued learning new things whenever he saw the opportunity arise. At the time of incarceration, Yup Yup’s cellmates told him he had talent and that he should pursue his dreams of becoming a rapper. Mr. Lomax (Yup Yup) is very well-known in the streets of DC and has witnessed tons of mishaps during the time DC was a very violent city. Yup Yup is known to be a well-rounded people person and will go to the extreme when business is involved. In other words when it comes to earning money business will become top priority. While in the process of pursuing his dream, he became a father to a now 3 year old boy and would do anything to give the boy the opportunity that he was robbed of in having a father figure to guide him in life. Yup Yup, also want to have the ability to present to his son that goals can be met as long as you do whatever it takes to achieve them. Morris Lomax has stated many times that he gets a rush out of recording music and that it’s a feeling that lets him know he was born to be a rapper. As a young lad, he grew up listening to music mostly by down south artists such as Scarface, Project Pat and UGK. While other artists such as 2 Chainz and Gucci Mane inspire him to rap. Like most vet raps and developing rappers, Yup Yup started in a rap group. Since most of the members from his group are facing prison time, he decided to pursue a solo career right after completing his time in prison. Currently he has been getting lots of buzz from his single “I just bought the bar” and has obtained a fan base which is growing on a daily basis. His fan base consists of people from his home town and online support from media sites such as twitter.com/morrislomax25 and soundcloud.com/bne360. Yup is also looking forward to releasing his debut mix tap “Best kept Secret” this summer in July while his buzz continues to grow. Yup Yup’s goal is to be the best rapper and have the best music from out of the city of DC. That’s why he is persistently in the studio making music that inspires others through his personal experience as well as allowing them to enjoy the music he creates.
