About Yasmin Tayeby

Yasmin Tayeby is an Egyptian-American singer/songwriter who was born in the US in 1988, but grew up in Cairo, Egypt. Her music is best described as folk/pop, influenced by such artists as Adele, Patty Griffin, and Carole King. Still an up and coming artist, Yasmin studies composition at Berklee College of Music, and works on her singing career on the side, with her debut EP, "Jane and John Doe," dropping in stores in Egypt and online in late June of 2009.
