About Woss Ness

Woss Ness is a Houston rap collective that rose to prominence in the late ’90s with a raw Southern sound tied to the Screwed Up Click. The group featured Big Steve (Granpappy Mafioso), 2-Fancy, Lil’ Steve, Lil’ Head, Big Bee, Joe D. Sharp, Boom Dillinger, Vikta Black, Rasir X, Devious, and Mack Biggers. Their debut, Da Game Done Changed (1997), showcased gritty street narratives and the city’s signature chopped and screwed style. Follow-up projects like Bangin’ Screw (2000) and Paper Chasin (2003) cemented their reputation in Houston hip-hop. Today, Woss Ness remains respected for preserving and pushing forward the sound that helped define an era in Texas rap.
