About Winston and the Telescreen
The band Winston and the Telescreen was formed and completed in 2004. They reside in the inland empire and for the past two years have played shows in the IE, OC, and LA counties as well as an occasional trip to San Francisco. Their sound is what occurs when reasonably well-educated young men spend their afternoons listening to Beatles and Radiohead albums and their nights drunken dancing at local clubs to the Cure and Joy Division. Despite this, they are most often compared to Belle and Sebastian and Coldplay. They have been known to attract fans of various styles and ages: discerning hipsters, youthful masses, and even uptight musicians. Winston and the Telescreen is made up of four members: Founder Trevor Monks- drums, Genius Paul Akers- keyboard, Rising star James Breker- bass, and Frontman David Tetz.
