About Head-On
There are at least three bands named Head-On: rock band from Portugal, heavy metal band from England, which has split in 2007, and eurodance project known for their single "I Want Your Love" from 1995. 1) Head-On is Alternative/Indie Rock band from Barreiro, Portugal. The band was formed in 2007 by Telma (vocals/guitar), Tigas (guitar), Xico (drums). They recorded a demo in mid 2008 and in 2009 they recruited Bruno to play bass. 2) Head-On was also a Heavy Metal band from Reading/London, UK. Since the band started playing live in 2003, Head-On has quickly made an impression in the UK and has built up a healthy and loyal fan base through their intense live shows, which have been received very well in the press. Head-On has a sound that is best described as heavy groove metal, although the band also incorporate bluesy and southern influences as well as melodic and acoustic moments. The band has supported many bands, including Fozzy, Stuck Mojo and the legendary Skid Row. They were signed to Grind That Axe/Universal Records, with debut album X.X.L. released in late 2006.
