About Wilbert Hazelzet

Wilbert Hazelzet is an internationally renowned baroque flautist. Since 1970, he has focused on the baroque transverse flute and its repertoire. He has recorded the works of Agrell, C.Ph.E. Bach, J.S. Bach, W.F. Bach, Danzi, Dornel, Handel, Haydn, Kleinknecht, Philidor, Sarri, Telemann, Valentine, and Vivaldi among others on labels including Cavalli, Decca, Deutsche Grammophon, EMI, and Glossa. In 1978, Hazelzet became a member of Musica Antiqua Köln. He frequently duets with Jacques Ogg, harpsichord and fortepiano, and Konrad Junghänel, lute. He is a professor at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague and at the Utrechts Conservatory, and he now holds a post as first flautist of Ton Koopman's Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra.
