About Wicketran

Wicketran was an instrumental rock duo from Minneapolis, consisting of an electric bass guitar and drums. They were active from January 2000 until June 2002, where they played their "last" show at Big V's in Saint Paul, MN. Their real last show was played in Omaha, NE on Halloween 2002, fulfilling a promise made to their friend, Nate Nelson. The band had three official releases: A split CD-EP with Bozart & Rogue States (the latter a joint project between Bozart & Wicketran) in 2000; a full-length CD, "Frills and Flashy Finery", in 2000; and a split 7" with Vapid (later V9R9D) in 2001. There were also a couple home-made recordings done by friend Peter Hawkinson that were never released, including the song "I Bet The Farm" that was to appear on a compilation benefit CD for local record store, Eclipse Records. After a scant 90 live performances, the band called it quits. Justin got married and performed a live solo set at his reception, and Jeremy went on to form STNNNG with Nate Nelson.
