About Whyte Boy

(Matthew Brandon Bennett) was born March 20, 1988 in Compton, CA however he was raised everywhere else. As a youth due to a number of unfortunate situations Whyte Boy found himself moving to a new city every year. Despite all the places he’s lived Gardena, CA is where he calls home. Ever since the eighth grade there laid a talent in soul of Whyte Boy of Gardena, CA. Whyte Boy started rapping in middle school in the 8th grade. Even at that young age it was made clear to his peers that he had talent. With his brimming confidence and sharp thinking Whyte Boy began to freestyle battle heavily in high school( where he received his name because of his dress style) while perfecting his sound in the streets of Los Angeles. Without out parental support or any hand-outs this self-supported youth quickly learned that everything he was going to get he had to be worked for: tirelessly. His tough up bringing (like overcoming being homeless or seeing his dad shot 9 times in front of him) gave birth to his identity as a “Grinder” someone who doesn’t have it, but will put something together to get it; someone who refuses to take no for an answer. His hunger for a better life has led him to not take the conventional rapper trend of dropping out of high school. He graduated in 2006 and is now working on completing his bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing at California State, Polytechnic University of Pomona, in Pomona, CA. Whyte Boy has unmatched versatility and lyrical content. His lyrics come 100% from the heart and go beyond the sugar coated styling of much of today’s music. Whyte Boy music inspires people, and helps them to see a better way to simply enjoy their life and progress- which prove to be motivational. Whyte Boy has managed to build a known reputation for his tasteful, real and yet humorous lyrics. He is hoping to inspire his generation to accomplish their dreams. Lyricist like this are rarely found so be prepared to be amazed. His first E.P. Nothin to Lose Ballad of a Grinder is set to be released in late Feb 2010.
