About Why Theory?
Post-Punk / New Wave band from Perugia (Italy). Short musical project came from the end of 2 previous bands: The Prisoners ('I Prigionieri', a punk rock band from Perugia) and Chocking Sensation (Post-Punk band of the early 80's). The nucleus of the band was born in 1984 around the players Luigi Luccarini and Andrea Conversano (ex Brain Machine, other band from Perugia, electro/post-punk), the name comes from the title of one of the Gang of Four. Style based on post-punk rhythms and other wave influences. Unfortunately the band was not able to leave great sound traces. At the end of this good experience another band will take the first steps: the goth band Axa Vanea, with a demo tape recorded in 1986.
