About White Boy

There are at least three artists with the same name: 1) White Boy was a punk rock band from Washington DC, USA that released a number of singles on Doodley Squat Records between 1977 and 1983. The group had two consistent members, Mr Ott and Jake Whipp (rumored to be father and son), and was accompanied by studio musicians Tommy Carr (drums), Scott Pusey (bass), Chris Bumalowe (drums), and Axle Standoff (synthesizer). Their single, "I Could Puke", was touted as the second punk record to come out of Washington DC. In 2012, "I Could Puke" was the subject of an essay by Canadian writer (and dupobs member) Patrik Sampler illustrating the demise of capitalism through the lens of rock music.
