Whiskers of Lichen are an irish traditional and folk music group from Kilkenny, Ireland. The band has been in existence for quite a few years and in it’s present form for four years. The members are all accomplished musicians on their respective instruments and have a wealth of experience. Review from the Chicago Sun Times by John Barron: "Packed to the rafters, the crowd listened for hours to a group called Whiskers of Lichen (inexplicably pronounced "Whiskers of Lichen'') as they worked their way through traditional tunes, sing-along stompers and even a brief segue through some Celtic-tinged Led Zeppelin".
