About Wheels of Fire

Wheels of Fire are a melodic, 80's-reminiscent band from Italy composed of singer Davide 'David Rox' Barbieri, guitarist Stefano Zeni, bassist Marcello Suzzani, drummer Fabrizio Ucellini, and keyboardist Andrea Vergori. The band was created in 2006 by lead singer, Davide Barbieri. After Michele Luppi (Whitesnake/David Coverdale) listened to some demos, their collaboration led to the release of the first album, “Hollywood Rocks” in 2010. The album was extremely successful in Europe and South America, and reached no. 42 in well known Japanese magazine Burrn’s ranking. The second album, “Up for Anything“, was released in November, 2012, again to critical acclaim, including excellent ratings from some of the top magazines in the music world, such as Fireworks Magazine and Classic Rock Magazine. With the their sophomore album, Up For Anything, Italian rockers Wheels Of Fire have become a full band. The core founders, vocalist Davide “Dave Rox” Barbieri and guitar player Stefano Zeni, are now joined by Marcello Suzzani on bass, Andrea Vergori on keyboards & piano and Fabrizio Uccellini on drums. What has not changed is their commitment to Eighties style, AOR melodic rock, yet on the more edgier size. Songs like pain, No Mercy, and Don't Walk Away, by example, definitely the melodic hard rock. Alternatively, Web of Lies and Tell Me venture into the lighter AOR side, with the latter more a ballad. Then Respect straddles the fence starting almost Westcoast breezy, but then growing into a nice rock groove and blistering guitar solo. Fundamentally, across the entire album, there's a definite heavier edge, with more grit and gusto to most every song. This is something they didn't quite capture with their debut album Hollywood Rocks. Does this make this album better? Not so much, just a different, at the very least an evolution in their sound. Seven years later, the third album, “Begin Again“, was released in June, 2019. During those seven years, the band had taken a new path, hence the name Begin Again. The songs leaned towards a more contemporary rock feel, incorporating modern elements in their sound, while remaining faithful to their 80’s melodic rock roots. Italian melodic rockers Wheels of Fire consisting of lead vocalist and keyboardist Davide “Dave Rox” Barbieri, guitarist Stefano Zeni, bassist Simon Dredo and drummer Fabrizio Uccellini will be releasing their fourth studio album All In via Art of Melody Music and Burning Minds Music Group on March 21, 2025.. The new album, “All In“, follows its predecessor, showcasing brilliant songwriting and composition while focusing on choruses, scratchy guitar riffs, breathtaking solos, and slick keyboards. A powerful rhythm section with pounding drums and solid bass, (courtesy of new member, Simon Dredo) help to create a collection of songs that simply defines melodic hard rock. Produced by Davide “Dave Rox” Barbieri, the album was recorded at Pri Studio (Bologna – Italy) under the guidance of renowned Italian sound engineer, Roberto Priori (DangerZone, Raintimes, StreetLore, Night Pleasure Hotel). “All In” is scheduled for release on March 21, 2025. The CD booklet features introductory liner notes written by Martin Stark (Rock It! Magazine), while artwork and graphics have been designed by Aeglos Art (Raintimes, Nightblaze, Platens, Night Pleasure Hotel, StreetLore, and many others). The first single, “Fool’s Paradise”, will be launched with an official video on January 29, 2025.
