About Werner Heider
Werner Heider (* January 1 1930 in Fürth / Middle Franconia ) is a German composer , pianist and conductor . 1945-51 studied at Heider Willy Spilling in Nuremberg and at the Munich Academy of Music . From 1949 he was a member of the Bavarian Radio / Studio Franken . In his compositions he is interested in both strict design principles as well as a dialogue between contemporary music and jazz ( Third Stream ). He participated in the colloquium musicale of Carla Henius in Rome as a pianist, he founded the ensemble including Confronto and a trio with Oliver Colbentson (violin) and Hans Deinzer (clarinet). As a conductor, Werner Heider has conducted orchestras including the NDR Radio Philharmonic Hannover, the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra , the Nuremberg Philharmonic Orchestra and Symphony , the Rhenish Philharmonic and the Symphony Orchestra of the South German , Saarland and Hessen Radio . In 1968 he founded in collaboration with Klaus Hashagen the ars nova ensemble Nuremberg, the conductor and artistic director he is today. Werner Heider has premiered numerous works by colleagues and recorded for radio and records, including of Minas Borboudakis , Horst Lohse , Karola Obermuller and Martin Smolka . His own compositions were others of the conductor Peter Eötvös , Michael Gielen , Bruno Maderna , Jun Märkl and Hans Zender listed. Werner Heider lives in Erlangen . He is the father of drummer Tilo and Peter Heider.
