About Welton
Very little is known of the Arkansas-based band Welton. It was an apparently short-lived emo/indie band from Fort Smith, Arkansas which formed presumably in 1999, and released three EPs before their first full-length album entitled The Soundtrack Of Our Lives; according to data on Amazon. It is not clear when or why the band disbanded, but at some point in the fall of 2004, Welton had broken up. There were four members at the time of disbandment - Nick, Mat, Tim, and Tobi, according to their former Purevolume page. Through e-mail correspondence with the band The Response, the writer/researcher learned that Tim was actually Timothy Jordan II, who joined Number One Fan, then All-American Rejects, and finally Jonezetta, before his death by suicide in December 2005. The writer has been able to ascertain little else regarding members. The band was apparently one of the founding members of the Snapdragon record label.
