About We Can Breathe In Space

There are at least two bands with the name We Can Breathe In Space: 1. We Can Breathe In Space was a post-hardcore band from Perth, Australia. Forming in early 2009 the band was a six piece mixture of aspiring musicians and best friends who came together to make music and play shows. Already acquiring many achievements since their first show in August of 2009, headlining their third show, Playing with international Metal giants (USA) band Haste The Day for their fourth show, Winning the Joondalup City Battle of the Bands getting to play at the 2010 Scorcher Festival and acquiring recording time with Loop Studios (the same producers who recorded the latest Birds Of Tokyo album), recording their EP with Fat Pig Studios, getting National supports and playing with 80's electro pop band The Secret Handshake (USA) in December all within a few months of playing these guys are definitely an unstoppable force and band you cant miss. WCBIS are a healthy mix of electro metal and punk with some elements of fun pop like catchy choruses, but still maintaining their darker heavier side with technical riffs and thrashing breakdowns. With the variety and blend of styles they play you'll be staggered to think that some of their material is actually from the same artist. They seem to cater for a larger target audience with their unique style and their electric stage endurance will definitely keep everyone involved. They have recently released their Debut EP The First Contact which is available at shows and now online available on iTunes, Emusic, Rhapsody and more. They also released an EP in 2011 called City Of The Sun. Members: Joel Bradbury - Vocals Jake Sullivan - Guitar Tylar Rettig - Guitar Jesse Woodbridge - Keys Nick Trutwein - Bass Dann Tozer - Drums/Vocals 2. We Can Breathe In Space was a post-rock band from the UK, taking influence from various post rock/metal bands such as Explosions In The Sky, God Is An Astronaut, Maybeshewill, Isis and Callisto. Their sound is an eclectic mixture of ambient and atmospheric rock/metal and have often been compared with the likes of Red Sparowes and Mono.
