Marques started his youtube channel in 2009 at 15 years old, covering new products his parents bought him. Quickly topping one million subscribers in 2014, and amassing over 15 million subscribers today, he has grown to be the face of the technology community on the platform. Along the way he has interviewed titans like Kobe Bryant, Bill Gates, Barack Obama, and countless influential tech figures. He has pushed the cinematography on the entire youtube platform, setting the standard with his 8k video and beautifully sculpted videos, and he continues to better his quality of content each day. He has received awards and acolades, notably the Shorty Creator of the Decade award and the Forbes 30 under 30 class of 2021, showcasing his videomaking and content creating prowess. Marques is the most innovative and consistent creators currently on youtube, and his content will always be a sign of the times for video, social media, and technology. Along the way, Marques has significantly expanded the MKBHD brand from a one-man team in his bedroom to a full blown media machine. Moving into a dedicated studio in 2016, and later moving into a larger space around the beginning of the pandemic, his physical videomaking space has significantly expanded from his humble beginnings. The Waveform Podcast was started by Marques and his team member, Andrew Manganelli, in Late 2019. Andrew and Marques talk about new developments in the world of electric vehicles, tech companies and products, and their implications in our lives. Engineered by Adam Molina, the weekly podcast is an entertaining yet informative way to delve deeper into the world of technology.
