About Wave.X
The melodic metal band Wave.X was created in 2020 by guitarist Vitalii Karnaukh and vocalist Hanna Demchenko in Kyiv. Bass player Taras Zemskyi became a part of the band in a 9 months. Later in 2021, drummer Dima Krainskyi joined Wave.X. Each musician have wide experience of both live and studio work as a part of various music bands. Initially Wave.X was supposed to be a musical project of guitarist Vitalii and vocalist Hanna in order to create material and distributing it on the Internet. But over time, musicians decided to expand the format of their activities and began to invite musicians to their team. And despite the COVID in 2021 and its restrictions, the band performed at 14 concerts in five cities of Ukraine, and Ukrainian festival Rock Bulava was one of them. The band played first 6 concerts without drummer. Wave.X brings melodic metal combining riffs of overloaded guitars, melodic solos and pure female vocals with some extreme male vocal. The band's style was mainly influenced by such metal bands as Lacuna coil, Within temptation and Amaranthe. In May 2021, the band started shooting their debut music video for the song Unwanted Guest. The unfinished building in the Kyiv city was chosen as a location, shooting was carried out by the musicians themselves with no additional help. The second part of the video was shot later in August 2021 when drummer Dmitry joined the team. The footage was filmed in a dark studio and featured a drummer, vocalist and guitarist. The debut music video was released on 10/27/2021.
