About Vinkesh The Vicious
While he was born in the US, Vinkesh the Vicious grew up on the streets of India after, as he tells it, being lost in a poker game by his father when he was only three years old. The man who won him, an Indian con man, ended up taking him back to India and subsequently left the child to fend for himself. Details of his years in India are sketchy at best, but he resurfaced in the US in early 2007 as a small business owner, operating his own conveinence store. In a chance meeting with a DJ from a small private internet radio station, he told of his career in India as a champion in professional wrestling, and how he had come to the US seeking similar fortune. He did not reveal his background as being originally from the US until, in a stroke of pure luck, he crossed paths with his biological brother, who happened to be one of the few listeners of this internet radio station. He feuded with his brother for months before revealing his true identity to him. Within this feud, Vinkesh's foray into music was born. He sang many songs expressing his desire to banish his brother, including the classic "Banish Akrovak," which became an instant YouTube sensation, and also sang covers of well-known songs to show off his musical prowess. However, in early 2008, Vinkesh would reconcile with his brother, and turn over a new leaf. His songs then turned to other topics, including his unsuccessful '08 run for the office of President of the United States of America. Vinkesh sports a blue and silver luchador mask, which he claims to never remove, even to shower or sleep. He donned the mask early on in his pro wrestling career, and even though he only wrestles the rare match these days, he claims that the mask is a part of him and a part of his mystique, and as such, it shall remain with him to the day he dies.
