The band’s inception dates back to November 2012 when the Evgeny Petrov (drums) and Alexander Kuzubov (guitar (7UTRA)) joined the established collective of Vasily Bolshakov (vocals), Pavel Likharev (guitar) and Roman Aleshechkin (bass). Having gone through numerous sound and line-up changes, the band finally reforms as Victim of Depravity . The music shifts focus to heavy breakdowns with low-tuned guitars, a lot of subdrops, angry low growl vocals and melodic guitar solos. Victim of Depravity draws inspiration from such bands as Whitechapel, Emmure, Chelsea Grin, Oceano, Aegaeon, Depths, Impending Doom, Suffokate, The Acacia Strain, Thy Art Is Murder, I Declare War and other contemporaries. April 2013 sees the release of the critically acclaimed single “Iskushenie” (Temptation) as well as band’s first live performances. Following July 2013 Roman departs and is temporarily replaced with Vova Kotichev (Artifact Implication, Sentenced to Dissection), who then joins the band full time. The band is known by its energetic live performances and already shared the stage with Austrian metallers Red Square Scenario and other prominent bands such as Dysphoria, Calmed By The Tides Of Rain и Genocide of Prescription, Katalepsy. The band's debut album, The Contradiction, was released February 28th.
